Its been a while!!!

Well hello,
What a few months its been! As you saw from my last post, I took the offer to perform for another year in Les Miserables for its 25th anniversary year. I have, for the last 10 weeks been in rehearsals, getting the new cast up to speed and rehearsing in a few faces who will be performing with us in the O2 for the anniversary concert.
I have to say that it has been a lot of work, but oh so worthwhile. Alongside around 12 new cast members we have ,for the last 4 weeks, had Nick Jonas and Camilla Kerslake performing with us. It has been an absolute blast, with the stage door buzzing with brand new fans and of course the die hard fans making appearences too it really has started a whole new generation of Les Miserables lovers.
So the O2! Cameron Mackintosh has arranged that, for the first time in history, there will be 3 different performances of one musical performed over 1 weekend, that date is Sunday 3rd October 2010.
On the Saturday there will, as always be the performance of the original show at the queens, including your truly, and at the Barbican, where this show started back in 1985, there will be a performance of the newly staged anniversary tour. The following day will be 2 performances of an anniversary concert at the O2 starring Nick Jonas, Lea Salonga, Alfie Boe, Norm Lewis, Camilla Kerslake, Samantha Barks, Matt Lucas and Jenny Galloway. Along side the all star cast will be ourselves from the West End cast, the Anniversary Tour cast and a choir of 200 accompanied by a massive orchestra....... sounds good to me!

so that brings you up to speed with what I am up to, otherwise i am pretty much sleeping so i can go back for more! I am having an amazing time and this experience will, together with the anniversary, go down in history.

Thats right, you have read correctly, i cannot seem to shake my love for this musical that i'm in, and it would be a shame to miss out on all the 25th anniversary festivities, so yes, i m staying another year. I will pretty much be staying on the same track as i am now, there may be some alterations within that, but essentially i will still be a big 'orrible slimy Foreman and a big old oaf as Brujon, and every now and then be stepping out as Javert.
so i will look forward to seeing you all there again, especially the ones who still haven't caught it in the last 3 contracts i have now completed, you know who you are!
well thats my news at the moment, there are some really exciting plans and rumours spreading around about the anniversary this year including some big names and some great places!!

Just to remind you all that I will now be on as Javert in the West End production of Les Miserables at the Queens theatre until Wednesday 31st.

Les Mis at the Oliviers!

Les Miserables in both the West End and on Tour were asked to close the Olivier awards by singing One Day More together.
It was an amazing night, it was great to meet the tour cast and see some old friends!
Here are the highlights from the live broadcast online which 113,000 people logged on for!! (we are at the end!)

Well hello to you all!
I will be on as Javert from the 25th to the 31st of March Just incase you were interested!
I also have holiday from April 12th to the 17th - time for some sun i think!
Im sure that i will be able to answer that big question..."will you be staying on for the 25th anniversary year" in the near future, at the moment, i just don't know.... so many options!
any way, glad to see you here, drop by again soon!

Well there it is... The Susan Boyle Story last night on ITV1, if you missed it you can catch it on ITVPlayer for the next week or you can go to this link HERE to see it on You tube,we're on at about 4.00 mins, someone got busy and got it on there quickly!

Les Miserables TV appearance

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls.
The cast of Les Miserables 2009/10 are to appear on a programme for ITV1 that will be aired after the X-factor final to an estimated 20 million people.....thats right!
Its a documentary about Susan Boyle and we will be singing a version of 'One Day More' as a finale to this programme.
Oh there is one more thing....I will be playing Javert.
I believe it will either be on Saturday 12th December 2009 or on Sunday 13th, but im sure it will be advertised.....so keep an eye out!
As you can imagine we are all really excited, we were in the studio today with a huge orchestra laying down the track for it, as you do for TV to make it sound 'right' and it was a blast.
